Gambit Corporate Finance consulting firm has recruited a new partner: Wayne Harvey. The former Big Four partner will now work to help the company with its growth strategy, as the UK mergers and acquisitions market looks set to explode.

With offices in Cardiff and London, Gambit is an independent consultancy specializing in advising private and public companies on middle market transactions in the UK and overseas. Since its inception in 1992, the firm has offered its clients a partner-led service supported by a team with significant transactional experience, helping to initiate, structure and manage projects for transactions of listed and unlisted companies. .
As the company nears its 30th anniversary, Holmes added that the company is looking to continue to grow its transaction pipeline and expand its advisory services. In his new role as a partner at the firm, Wayne Harvey will contribute by focusing on strategic development, supporting and developing the team and adding value to the firm’s ambitious growth plans.

Harvey’s career has seen him hold leadership roles at EY and Deloitte. At EY, he has built a successful practice across four locations and developed a progressive and dynamic environment for the company and the team. He later led the creation of a Private Markets in the Thames Valley practice for Deloitte, and as a Senior Partner, led the Deloitte team and increased the Welsh practice and number of employees tenfold.
Gambit Corporate Finance has acted as a senior advisor on several landmark transactions since its inception, working with leading clients such as Peters Foods, IQE, Biotrace International, Veezu, Premier Forest, Orangebox, WRU and Bluestone.
Harvey comes with Gambit at a time of unprecedented growth in its M&A and fundraising business, as he has been ranked by Experian as Wales’ most active M&A financial advisor for the first quarter of 2021.
