Grant Thornton strengthens Yorkshire corporate finance team after string of deals

Recent deals include the sale of specialist home care provider Routes Healthcare to mid-sized investor Palatine Private Equity as part of a secondary buyout, and the sale of steel maker and installer DAM Structures based in the United States. The team also advised the vendors of John Hill Associates, a Doncaster-based architectural building surveying and project management consultancy firm, on the sale of the business to Diskin Capital, a firm of investment founded by former Leeds Rhinos RLFC player Matt Diskin.

The team has now recruited two young contractors to join its ranks. Ben Brydges joined as an assistant manager of a Big Four company, where he spent three and a half years. Also join

the team is Deputy Director James Boreman, after four years in the firm’s audit arm.

Led by partner Peter Terry, head of corporate finance in the North, the team also includes directors Jim Whittaker and Duncan Morpeth, supported by Simon Keppie and John Whitney, as well as specialist financial modeler Jake Troughear.
