The top 10 Mazars firms have announced the promotion of two people within the tax and corporate finance teams.

Greig Simms became a tax partner at Mazars, after joining the firm as an intern. He specializes in corporate taxation and in the infrastructure and real estate sectors. He has experience in compliance and advisory services.

Dave Hilton also joined Mazars as an intern and is now appointed partner in corporate finance. He specializes in senior consulting and project management with experience in corporate buy and sell transactions.

Phil verity, Senior UK Partner at Mazars, said: “It is very satisfying to see local talent rise to the top of the organization. I congratulate Greig and Dave on their well-deserved promotions, and I hope our continued focus on developing a strong culture and creating opportunities will encourage people across the organization to follow their example. ”

The appointments follow the company’s announcement of an 8.5% increase in overall fee revenue growth for the year ending August 31, 2017. Fee revenue jumped to $ 174 million sterling compared to £ 160 million the previous year. The figures represent Mazars’ sixth consecutive year of growth.

Financial consulting, accounting and outsourcing grew 23% while financial planning saw growth of 18%, with the firm noting that performance was “strong” across all service lines.

Verity said, “I am proud that we have achieved another year of consistent growth and profitability. Our growth has been sustainable and constitutes an excellent basis for the next three years ”.

He added, “Going forward, we will continue to invest in our business to pursue long-term sustainable growth. The strong financial results were offset by innovation across the company and commitment to society. Our people are essential to this and we remain committed to nurturing and developing talent to deliver trust, create value and deliver exceptional service to our customers. “

Earlier this year, the firm appointed a new Managing Partner in Scotland and announced a move to a new office in Glasgow.
