Cowgills Corporate Finance has appointed two new partners to lead its debt advisory and transaction services operations.

A seasoned banker and private equity investor with over 20 years of experience in the SME lending and investment industry, Dave Furlong joins the corporate finance team as a partner, heading the advisory service in team debt.

In addition, the Cowgills core advisory team will benefit from Furlong’s recent experience in early stage venture capital investments. Previously at Mavern Capital Partners, Furlong worked with Lloyds and HSBC Commercial Banking and also headed the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund.

Andrew Nelson has also been appointed a partner to lead Cowgills’ transaction services. Having worked with KMPG for 17 years, Nelson is experienced in both buy and sell transactions and across all sectors of the market.

After a year of rapid growth and expansion, the Cowgills corporate finance team, led by Ian Johnson, Sam Davies and Managing Partner Paul Stringer, now numbers 19 from its base in the ABC building in Spinningfields , Manchester.
