RG Corporate Finance advises on a private equity transaction | North East Deals

Ryecroft Glenton Corporate Finance, based in Newcastle, advised the takeover of specialist legal and corporate secretarial staff by private equity firm Omni Partners.

London-based DMJ Recruitment will operate under the Fortes Group, which was created by Omni Group, to drive future growth both organically and through acquisitions.

The recruitment firm places legal professionals and company secretaries in private practice and in-house roles, with clients including PcW, Barclays and Tesco.

DMJ founders David Press and Marc Tobias will work alongside Omni and Fortes to expand the company’s services into other areas such as technology, accounting and finance.

RG Corporate Finance worked on the sale to Omni, led by partner and head of corporate finance Carl Swansbury, supported by CF consultant Kerry Hurst and CF executive Adam Tindale.

Transactional tax and accounting advice was provided by Stephen Kelly, Mariske Byrnes and Bob Roberts of Beavis Morgan, while shareholder legal advice was provided by David Baverstock and Daniel Jacob of Marriott Harrison.

Omni received financial and tax due diligence advice from RSM, led by its partner Jonathan Wade with legal advice from Brabners. Commercial due diligence was undertaken by Armstrong, led by Simon Helmsley, with debt financing provided by Thincats.
