Vincent Fok leads the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment of FTI


The global management consulting firm FTI Consulting has appointed Vincent Fok as head of its Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment in Asia.

Vincent Fok brings to this role over two decades of experience in business turnaround, corporate restructuring and transaction advisory. He succeeds John Batchelor, who led the division for the past five years and recently moved to Australia to be closer to his family.

Based in offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai, Fok leads FTI Consulting’s corporate finance and restructuring work from offices in China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines and in Singapore.

The practice assists clients with a range of strategic and financial advisory offerings, including turnaround and restructuring, corporate transformation, transaction support, valuations, litigation advice and governance services of business.

Fok himself specializes in restructuring, having gained experience throughout the life cycle, from the introduction of the white knight, the reorganization of capital and the formation and implementation of arrangement schemes. He has led and participated in the restructuring of various Hong Kong-listed distressed companies, including PRC companies, working with shareholders and lenders.

The newly appointed segment head has also been hired by Hong Kong-listed companies to conduct internal investigations, review internal control systems, and investigate and advise on transactions with qualified auditor opinions, with the aim of assisting businesses to apply for repossession to the relevant regulatory agencies. .

Alongside his work for FTI Consulting, Fok is a board member of two Hong Kong-listed companies operating in the retail and medical sectors.
